Brief Description

Infection Prevention & Control Boot Camp is a two-day intensive course that provides the novice Infection Preventionist with all the basic skills necessary to establish an Infection Prevention & Control Program in long-term care facilities.

The program should be attended by new practitioners or those wanting a beginning refresher course.

This program is an in-person class that "connects the dots" learned from all the classes and training the Infection Preventionist has attended on creating an effective Infection Prevention & Control Program.

Course Objectives

At the completion of the course, participant will be able to

• Understand the role of the Infection Preventionist in the long-term care setting

• Set up an Infection Prevention & Control Program in a long-term care facility​ including the following components:

Who Should Attend This Course

This course is a comprehensive training for Infection Preventionists (IPs) in Long-Term Care. It meets the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) requirement for training of persons in that role. Persons selecting this option will attend a live two-day in-person class. Participants must attend the entire conference for full continuing education credits. Attendance at this venue offers the participants an opportunity to interact directly with the course faculty.
