De-mystifying Enhanced Standard Precautions (ESP)

  • Understand the new CDPH Enhanced Standard Precautions

  • Review practical application of this guideline

Create an ESP policy for your facility that incorporates the components of this public health advisory

 

Antibiotic Stewardship

  • Review the role of the infection preventionist, licensed nurse and pharmacist in the facility's Antibiotic Stewardship Program

  • Understand the relationship between McGeer and Loeb criteria

  • How to incorporate Loeb Criteria into your Antibiotic Stewardship Program

Do a deep dive into creating a comprehensive Antibiotic Stewardship Program for your facility that involves the collaboration of nursing, pharmacy, infection prevention, and physicians
